Avalanche control in Rogers Pass

DriveBC says to expect one to two hour closures in Glacier National Park between 1 and 6 p.m.

The Armed Forces will be conducting avalanche control in Rogers Pass this afternoon.

DriveBC is cautioning motorists to expect one to two hour closers from the east boundary to the west boundary of Glacier National Park between 1 and 6 p.m.

They are also urging drivers to watch for fallen rock from Craigellachie to Revelstoke, and Revelstoke to the east boundary of Glacier National Park.

The high in Revelstoke today is +21.

Environment Canada is forecasting a UV index of 6.
