B.C. minimum wage increases Sunday

B.C.’s minimum wage increased to $8.75 per hour Sunday, up from the previous minimum of $8.

However, the minimum wage for liquor servers is only rising to $8.50.

The minimum wage will increase in two more stages until it reaches $10.25 on May 1, 2012 for most employees ($9/hour for liquor servers).
