A man caught trying to rob a bank in Burnaby confessed to completing a similar crime in Victoria a day earlier.
The 52-year-old man was arrested by RCMP the moment he exited a Westminster Savings Credit Union in Burnaby on Thursday.
Police say he robbed the bank.
In RCMP custody, the suspect confessed to taking money from the Bank of Montreal at 1225 Douglas St. in Victoria on Wednesday, police said.
Witnesses told police a man passed a note to a teller and made off on a bike with cash.
Charges are pending.
