BC Hydro scheduled outage for March 2

Parts of Golden will be without power on Tuesday, March 2 from 1 p.m. MST until approximately 5:30 MST due to a scheduled outage for a pole replacement.

Parts of Golden will be without power on Tuesday, March 2 from 1 p.m. MST until approximately 5:30 MST due to a scheduled outage for a pole replacement.

Affected areas will include parts of downtown, Kicking Horse Trail, Airport Rd, Golf Course Dr, Spirit Square, as well as Parson.

A full list of addresses and locations that will be affected by the outage can be found on the BC Hydro website. Over 500 people are expected to be impacted by the outage.

BC Hydro recommends protect electrical devices from potential damage by unplugging them. Turning off items such as lights, heaters and major appliances and unplug all electrical equipment during this time can help protect them.

Elevators and garage doors may not work during the outage.

The scheduled outage times are approximate and may be rescheudle without notice due to sudden inclement weather. To stay up to date on the outage, monitor the BC Hydro website for any chances.
