NDP Leader John Horgan met with three young women along with three middle-aged men at Bean Scene in Kelowna, Tuesday morning.
There Horgan discussed encouraging young women’s optimism in the work force and pushing for an increase in minimum wage to $15.

B.C. New Democrat Leader John Horgan will be in Kelowna to discuss his $15 an hour minimum wage plan.
The discussion session, which has been set up with area residents who would benefit from a hike to the minimum wage, is set to happen at the Bernard Ave. Bean Scene Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 7.
Horgan was elected to the Legislature in 2005 as the MLA for the constituency of Juan de Fuca in the Canadian province of British Columbia. He has been re-elected twice. He became leader of the BC NDP in 2014. A cancer survivor, he is a an advocate for health care, public schools and community services for families.
