Lakeside Park beach is again open following a closure yesterday due to an oil spill, according to a news release from the city hall today:
“There was a quick response and cleanup completed yesterday. It only takes a small amount of oil to contaminate a very large volume of water, and the closure yesterday was a precaution following this spill.
“Boaters are urged to make sure their vessels are clean and properly maintained prior to launching to ensure our lake remains clean and safe for all to enjoy.”
