Sections of the Perimeter Trail in Smithers were last week due to increased bear activity.
The Town announced Friday afternoon that the trail in the southwest corner of town from Willowvale subdivision to Ambleside, to Elks Park is temporarily closed.
Watch for signs indicating closures.
Bear spray and bear bangers are a good idea whenever enjoying trails in the Bulkley Valley.
