‘Benchmark Project’ prize winner donates winnings to Port Alberni veterinary fund

Wood sculptor Gina Adams encourages other prizes winners to follow suit

One winner of the Oceanside Benchmark Project, a community art project initiated by Qualicum’s and Parksville’s chambers of commerce, will donate her $500 prize to the Alberni SPCA Veterinary fund.

“I am asking all artists to donate part of their art proceeds to a worthy charity. Lets make a difference,” said Gina Adams, in an email to PQB News.

Adams’s bench will be installed at the Nanoose Library, located at 2489 Nanoose Rd.

She invites everyone to “come and have a sit at this enchanting library.”
