The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s biggest community fundraiser on Vancouver Island, the June 8 Big Bike rides raised $20,000 from eight teams of riders in Langford alone.
Island-wide, the campaign hopes to raise $400,000 to put toward research into heart disease and strokes, as well as programs promoting health. Among the eight Langford teams taking part, RONA’s entry earned top honours, bringing in $4,577 themselves. For more information, go to BigBike.ca.
