Big crowds and hot weather for GF’s Canada Day celebration

The crowds were lined up on both sides of Kettle River Drive as the Canada Day parade wove its way down from the rec centre

Everyone got into the spirit of Canada Day during the parade which started at the rec centre and went down Kettle River Drive into City Park.

The crowds were lined up on both sides of Kettle River Drive as the Canada Day parade wove its way down from the rec centre into the parking lot at City Park Tuesday morning.

There was plenty of events happening in City Park including the Elks Club pancake breakfast, jazzercize, opening ceremonies with the Grand Forks Pipe and Drums and O Canada by Paige Barisoff.

After the opening there was plenty of fun events for the kids in the kids zone. There was also music and dancing on the stage with Damien Alblas, Rara Avis dancers, Morrison’s Van, Crow’s Nest, the Hip Sisters, and Mayan and Kyra.
