Someone managed to steal 4,000 litres of diesel gas from a Langley business in the 20100 block of 102B Avenue earlier this month.
RCMP said whoever took a 10,000 litre-capacity gas tank from a locked compound hot-wired an excavator down the street and used it to lift the gas tank.
It happened on March 14, a Monday.
The stolen tank is a Regal brand, white in colour with marked diesel fuel inside.
It is 10 feet long by 4-5 feet in diameter.
The tank is valued between $8,000 and $10,000 and the fuel inside worth approximately $2,800.
Anyone with information that might assist the investigation is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) if you want to be anonymous.
