BMX bike stolen in roadside theft

Two men accused of stealing bike from Nanaimo teenagers

Nanaimo Mounties hope the public can help find a bike taken from two teenage boys.

The theft happened at the intersection of 107th Street and the Island Highway Nov. 14 at about 5:25 p.m. when the boys, 14 and 16, were confronted by two men in a truck who accused the boys of throwing a rock toward them.

After making the accusation, the men got out of the truck, grabbed a bike belonging to one of the boys and drove off.

The bike is a purple Specialized BMX model with black handle bars and skulls on the bars.

The truck was a dark blue Dodge 2500 pick up.

The truck’s driver is Caucasian, 35-40, with a beard. He was wearing a brown hoodie with white lettering.

The second male was also Caucasian and wore a dark blue hoodie, jeans and a baseball hat.
