The theft of a $75,000 boat, and holy books stolen from a temple are among the crimes under investigation by the Langley RCMP.
The local detachment has released surveillance photos and images of stolen property in several ongoing cases.
The boat theft took place on May 25, from a home in South Langley. The black and white Larson 238 with a 23 foot fibreglass hall and both inboard and outboard motors has the word “SANDBAR” written on 10 inch black letters on both sides.
The boat was stolen with its matching Larson trailer, said Cpl. Holly Largy, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.
Together, boat and trailer are worth about $75,000.
On May 15, someone broke into the Temple of Dukh Bhanjani Sahib Society and stole three books, Largy said. All three books are about 14 by 14 inches, three inches thick, have 11,400 pages and are red. The books have spirituatl value, Largy said.
On May 13, a local person suffered a care break in and their wallet was stolen. Suspects have since then used debit and credit cars belonging to the victim several times. A surveillance photo shows a woman using the cards to make a purchase at a Langley Petro Canada gas station.
Police are also looking for the man who allegedly stolen $200 worth of goods from Superstore, then fled after pulling the fire alarm.
The Caucasion, in his mid 30s, was wearing a black hat, a black hoodie with the word “FCUK,” and black pants and white shoes.
Officers are also looking for whever stole a bicycle from the grounds of Walnut Grove Secondary on May 19.
On the other side of the ledger, the Langley RCMP is looking to return some jewelry that was turned in at the W.C. Blair Pool in Murrayville.
The found items include what appears to be a diamond ring, a wedding ring set, and men’s gold wedding bands, said Largy.
