UPDATE: Representatives from the Central Provincial Regional Emergency Operations Centre, have provided the following information on a boat in the north end of Okanagan Lake.

“The owners are on their way up from the coast with diving gear. Apparently they have to release the anchor before it can be moved,” states a release.

“There is someone watching the boat from shore on their behalf. It has a deep V hull, which means it will likely get caught up on a sandbar before it makes it all the way in to shore. They are trying to arrange a boat large enough to tow it. There is no motor, fuel, oil, or other hazardous materials onboard.”
