Boaters injured on Kalamalka Lake

Two people taken to hospital with injuries after Saturday incident

Two people had to be rescued after being thrown out of their boat on Kalamalka Lake.

The RCMP report that two people were knocked out of their inflatable boat and into the water near Rattlesnake Point Saturday at about 4 p.m.

“They were rescued by a nearby vessel,” said Const. Spencer Hornoi.

The woman was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with propeller injuries while the Armstrong man was treated for exhaustion.

The case is under investigation but alcohol is not considered a factor.

“Some how they would up overboard and the boat went in circles,” said Hornoi.
