Fundraisers are continuing to support four-year-old Megan Leverrier and her family.

Megan is in Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital where she is being treated for a rare tumour attached to her liver. Her parents Michelle and Jaimie Leverrier and her little brother Gavin are staying in Toronto, as well as her grandparents.

As of press time, Megan’s aunt Tracey Nickolson said doctors were still contemplating a liver transplant, considered a good sign.

Friends and supporters of the family have been holding fundraisers for the many expenses being incurred.

Nickolson has just received a supply of ‘Miracle for Megan’ bracelets that will be sold for $5 each. They are available at the I.D.A.-Munro’s Sorrento Prescriptions, the Loonie on the Lake dollar store and the bottle depot in Sorrento, and at Carlin Elementary Middle School and Sorrento Elementary. More locations, including in Salmon Arm, will be named on the Miracle for Megan Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/meganleverrier, once they’re confirmed.
