Break-in suspect arrested on roof

Man facing charges related to break and enters at business and apartment

TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service from August 8, 8 a.m. till August 9, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there six people lodged in Terrace Cells – four of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

three people soliciting for donations to the Children’s Joy Foundation in an aggressive manner. Police spoke with three woman ages 31, 45, and 36 yrs. Police are continuing their investigation of the Children’s Joy Foundation. A second call was received on these people panhandling in this aggressive manner.

a grey 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt almost hit a woman in a cross walk at 4647 Lakelse Ave.

man passed out on the steps of a business on Lazelle Ave. Police arrested a 47-year-old man for public intoxication.

person attempting to open the window of an apartment on Lakelse Ave. Police located a 25-year-old man on the rooftop of a nearby business and arrested him for break and enter. Terrace Fire Department assisted the police in getting the man down. Police noted a nearby business had its screen removed and window opened. Investigation determined that the same man was responsible for the attempted break and enter of the business. Terrace RCMP have forwarded charges of break and enter x 2. The man is held for court.

a vehicle struck a man on Park Ave.

fight at Mr. Mike’s. Police spoke with the people involved. The fight was an intoxicated consensual fight.

Elsewhere Terrace

a black leather Mananci purse was lost containing various cards, ID, and money.

breach of a no contact condition. Police located the 28-year-old man inside of a residence he is not allowed to be in. He was arrested and is held for court.

false business alarm on McConnell Ave.

911 hang up from a pay phone at Walmart. Deemed false.

deceased 47-year-old man on Halliwell Ave.

breach of a no contact order. Police spoke with the people involved.

false business alarm on Hwy 16 west.

couple causing a disturbance in an apartment on Scott Ave. Police spoke with the people involved. An offence was not committed.

suicidal woman with a knife at a residence on Kalum St. Unsubstantiated. A 19-year-old woman was throwing things inside of a residence. She was arrested for mischief.

man passed out in front of a house on Hamer Ave. A 15-year-old boy was arrested for public intoxication.

a man yelling and a woman crying from a nearby location. Police conducted checks of the area.

a wallet with a butterfly in the front containing various cards and ID was lost in the Skeena Mall.

Mills Memorial Hospital requested police assistance with moving a patient.

uttering threats investigation on Scott Ave.

the front window was smashed out of a police car while the police officer was attending a call on Greig Ave. on August 3.

Thornhill

various cards and wallet turned into the detachment from the Northern Motor Inn.

erratic driver in a red 1997 Red GMC truck.

Rural

a license plate was stolen from a trailer parked at the Kitsumkalum boat launch.

a man reported that he was assaulted by his estranged spouse. Investigation could not determine that an offence occurred. Ongoing custody and separation issues.

erratic driver on Hwy 16 in a blue flatbed semi trailer. Passing on double solid lines and around corners.

Kitsumkalum

intoxicated person was removed from a residence by the other partiers and was now attempting to get back in when he was no longer welcome. Police arrested a 24-year-old man for public intoxication.
