TERRACE RCMP say forensic evidence found at the scene of a break-in has led to charges against a man already in custody for another matter.

Officers were called to a break and enter on Scott Ave. that occurred between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. August 2, said police.

Investigation led police to match forensic evidence gathered at the scene of the break and enter to 42-year-old local resident Gordon Carpenter, said police.

Charges of break and enter have been laid against him and he is remanded to court on August 6, say police.

If you see anything suspicious in your neighborhood, call the RCMP right away. This could be vehicles or persons you do not recognize or activity in and around a residence that is not normal. A safe neighborhood is one that watches out for each other, says Const. Angela Rabut, community policing/media relations officer Terrace RCMP.
