Donna Kell, the city’s communications manager, told Peace Arch News that a resident reported the break to city crews at 6:39 a.m. Affecting approximately 20 homes, the cause is unknown, Kell added.
She said restoring service “is a high priority” and thanked residents for their patience.
“We recognize that it is an inconvenience,” Kell said by email. “Workers are on site fixing the break right now.”
A temporary road closure is in effect on Cliff Avenue, between Stevens Street and Stayte Road, she added.
