Const. Martin Kortas checks out the mangled steel fence following a crash on Terminal Avenue near Bryden Street Wednesday.
The accident happened around 5 a.m. when a northbound car crossed into oncoming lanes and crashed through fence and a sign.
The Island Highway was closed for more than an hour Wednesday morning.
Police at the scene said no one was seriously injured, but the incident is still under investigation.
