Two helicopters are waiting to take an unknown number of passengers to hospital following a high velocity, single vehicle accident on the Old Island Highway near Mission Hill, in Courtenay on Thursday afternoon.
According to those on the scene, the helicopters originally landed in the empty lot between Superstore and the Washington Inn building.
