Bridge re-decking

Traffic on Horse Lake Road will be a bit slower over the next month.

Skaday Bridge, 7.5 kilometres east of 100 Mile House on Horse Lake Road will be reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic 24 hours day for approximately one month for bridge repairs starting this week.

Interior Roads Ltd. will be replacing some of the stringers and re-decking the surface.

In a story published in the Free Press on Nov. 23, it was noted that Interior Roads wanted to start the work when the creek was still frozen, so equipment can be placed on the banks, which will reduce traffic delays and allow for tarping to catch debris so it doesn’t fall in the creek.
