Bridge suspects denied bail

Michael Dennison, 25, and Ryan Regan, 33 were denied bail, Jan 23.

Both remain in custody until Feb. 6.

Court registry said Dennison is charged with: dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from peace officer, two counts of failure to stop at accident with vehicle, mischief to property over $5,000 and assault with a weapon.

Regan is charged with: dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a police officer, operating a motor vehicle while disqualified and breach of probation.

“RCMP in Penticton stopped two occupants in a suspicious vehicle earlier in the morning of Jan. 12, but the driver sped off before police could speak with them. Police did not pursue, but shared information about the vehicle with other nearby detachments,” said an RCMP release.

Kelowna RCMP partially shut down one side of the bridge, where both men were apprehended.
