A section of Buena Vista Avenue in White Rock is closed this morning after an elderly woman was struck by a vehicle.
According to White Rock RCMP, the incident took place just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Buena Vista Avenue and Kent Street.
The senior was transported to a hospital via BC Ambulance. The status of her condition is unknown.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene until police arrived.
RCMP members had Buena Vista Avenue – between Habgood Street to the east and Kent Street to the west – closed to traffic for most of the morning.
As of Monday, there was no update on the women’s condition from White Rock RCMP.
