Members of the Chamber of Commerce in Vanderhoof started discussing their 2021 priorities, Feb. 16.

This year the Chamber plans to continue sending bi-weekly email newsletters called Chamber Point, to update members about webinars, grants, new members and other local and Chamber news.

“Our priorities for the coming year, which will be discussed in the meeting are – MyStreetMyNeighbour Initiative showcasing member businesses; Chamber Point; Luncheons; building partnerships and communities,” said Leslie Chaisson, manager for the Chamber of Commerce. Luncheons will be held once a month, she added.

Meanwhile, Chaisson said there were over $19,000 in gift certificates sold in December during Christmas. As it was that popular, gift certificates are going to be made available through the year to help promote local shopping, she said.

The virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Feb. 24 and the Chamber aims to work with community groups to develop plans for growth, and work on issues in the community.
