A SECOND school bus is on its way to Lakelse Lake this morning after the regularly-scheduled one on that route had trouble staying on the road.
Extremely icy conditions are the reason, says Philip Malnis of First Canada, the bus company providing transportation service to the Coast Mountain school district.
“It was just slipping and sliding, sliding off the road,” he said.
There were no students on the bus.
It means those students bound for schools in Thornhill might be a bit late for class this morning.
Freezing rain has made driving complicated throughout the area this morning.
Travel advisories are in effect and officials are telling people to drive with extreme caution.
