Sixty-three booths showcasing northwest regional businesses set up in both arenas of the Terrace sportsplex last weekend for the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce’s annual trade show.
Booths were judged for signage, appearance, first impression and product knowledge.
Value Wood Products and Twilight Spas were named the best retail booth, while the best commercial booth went to Just Cut It Sawmilling.
Just Cut It also won the exhibitor’s choice award, and the best overall judges award went to Naomi’s Photography.
The always popular Department of Fisheries and Oceans booth, with large display of information and fish samples, along with small aquarium, got the community and government service award.
The best service booth went to Northern Savings Credit Union.
The Chamber’s executive director Carol Fielding said there were a lot of new vendours this year.
“We’re very pleased with the turnout this year,” she said, noting there was a good display of businesses from communities down Hwy16, with businesses participating from Prince George to Terrace.
The theme of this year’s trade show is “Celebrate Terrace – your business service center”, building on the idea that Terrace is the service hub of the northwest.
It is open until 4 pm today.
