Busy first day for the Armstrong fair

Opening day of the fair saw 15,921 people pass through the gate

The Interior Provincial Exhibition got off to a great start.

A total of 15,921 people passed through the gate during opening day Wednesday.

“It was a pretty typical day,” said Bryan Burns, general manager, adding that attendance for opening day in 2012 was 16,320.

Rain in the morning didn’t keep people from having fun in Armstrong.

“It’s beautiful fair weather when it’s mild and not so hot,” said Burns.
