Campbell Mountain Landfill Open Monday August 7th
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is trying something new this weekend.
The Oliver and Okanagan Falls landfills are closed as usual on a holiday, but the Campbell Mountain Landfill will be open regular hours for the entire August long weekend, including B.C. Day, Aug. 7.
Usually RDOS landfills are closed on statutory holidays. The district is keeping the Campbell Mountain Landfill open on B.C. Day this year as a trial to see if residents take advantage of this extra day of service in hope of reducing the extra-long lineups that occur after statutory holidays.
