Campbell River waterpark kicks off with a splash!

The wild and wet fun quickly became a hit with the kids

With a big wet splash, Campbell River’s newest recreation facility opened today.

And it fast became a hit with a hundred or more kids and their families at the Willow Point Park facility.

After speeches paying tribute to many people involved in the eight year process to bring the project from an idea to sprinklers, buckets, water guns and just plain fun, a ribbon was cut and the park was declared open.

With partly cloudy skies welcoming the new facility, everyone was in agreement that the project taken on by the Rotary Club of Campbell River will be well used by Campbell River kids for years to come.
