Canada Day 150 celebrations were enjoyed by the District of Kent and The Village of Harrison Hot Springs Saturday as members of the community, dignitaries, and pets enjoyed a day chock full of fun-filled and memorable festivities in both locations.
Residents were adorned in their finest patriotic duds to celebrate the occasion, pets included, as Agassiz and Harrison gave a good showing as part of a country that represents the “true north strong and free.”
Canada’s 150 years were celebrated with cake cutting ceremonies, time capsule plantings, various demonstrations, inflatable racetracks, emergency vehicle displays and food vendors.
The Main Parade signalled the completion of the day’s events as the evening kicked off with live entertainment and the time-honoured tradition of fireworks in the magical and romantic setting of Harrison Hot Springs.
