The Save Canada Post tour stopped in Mission on Thursday afternoon.
The tour began back in July as members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers took to the road to ride across Canada in a white RV with “Stop the Cuts – Save Canada Post” splashed across it.
The point of the tour is to encourage the public to “fight back against cuts to postal service.”
A crowd of about 40 people gathered in front of the Mission Post Office to listen to speakers as they attempted to rally support.
The caravan is in Surrey today before heading off to Victoria, Campbell River, Courtenay and Nanaimo.
On August 27, the caravan will begin its trek back to Eastern Canada with a few stops along the way.
Canada Post is planning to end door-to-door service in favour of community mailboxes.
