Car bursts into flames on Surrey’s 64 Ave.

Cloverdale resident who went to assist stranded motorist captures eye-witness images from the scene.

Cloverdale resident Thomas Dyck captured this shot of a car that burst into flames Thursday afternoon, right in front of his apartment building in the 16400-block of 64 Avenue, at about 2:30 p.m.

Surrey Firefighters from Hall 8 were on the scene within minutes, and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. Nobody was hurt.

Dyck told the Reporter he noticed a man who was apparently having car trouble and rushed outside the building to help. That’s when there was a loud sound, almost like an explosion, and the car was on fire. He took these photos with his cell phone.
