Six people were involved in a two-car crash on Thursday evening in Abbotsford.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called just after 7:30 p.m. to the intersection of South Fraser Way and Emerson Street.

A van, with the driver as the lone occupant, ended up on the sidewalk, while the other vehicle – an SUV with five people – flipped onto its side and hit Pier 1 Imports at West Oaks Mall, but caused no damage to the store.

There were no serious injuries to any of the people involved in the collision.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash, coupled with one of the drivers trying to run a yellow light.
