Carjacker goes back for his pitbull

A man fleeing police runs into several cars, then pulls a woman out of one of them and takes off

A man fleeing from police caused multiple car accidents and carjacked one of the vehicles involved – but not before retrieving  his pit bull.

On Friday, June 10 at 10:35 a.m., police pulled over a silver Dodge Avenger in the 14000-block of 88 Avenue. The Avenger took off west on 88 Avenue and subsequently struck other vehicles.

A man jumped out and tried to steal an SUV, which took off.

He then tried to take a car driven by a woman. He pulled her out of her vehicle, got in, and then backed up to retrieve his pit bull before driving away.

The Avenger, still running, glided into bushes near a bus stop.

A short time later, police located the victim’s stolen vehicle, unoccupied, in the 11400-block of 137 Street. The suspect was nowhere to be found.

He is described as an South Asian male, 25-30 years old, wearing black clothing. He may have a black-and-white pit bull with him.
