There is one fewer restaurant in Vernon.

Carl’s Jr. has closed its doors on 32nd Street.

“We confirm that our franchisee, Jove Franchise Development Corporation, has closed its three restaurants in Okanagan — the Vernon, Penticton and Kamloops locations,” states CKE Restaurants Holdings, the Carpinteria, Calif. based parent company of Carl’s Jr.

“Their fourth restaurant in Kelowna remains open.”

When asked why the three restaurants are closing, CKE would not provide further comment.

In 2011, Jove opened Canada’s first Carl’s Jr. in Kelowna, and that was followed by Vernon and Kamloops. The Epenticton restaurant opened in 2013.
