If you want to take community involvement to new heights, Vernon Winter Carnival is the place for you.
Carnival will be training crew members for the Hot Air Balloon Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Polson Park.
“Anyone interested in being a crew member can attend the training,” said Brittany Sjoblom, Winter Carnival executive director.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
The 20th annual Balloon Fiesta runs from Feb. 3 to 5.
The Carnival event is a collection of hot air balloons competing against each other and taking the sky above Vernon.
