The City of Castlegar has been approached by Trail to endorse a grant application for a second access road leading to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Elected officials will be discussing the matter at council, Monday night.
The access road grant is part of an application to the New Building Canada Fund.
Rossland has already decided to back the request and is hoping Trail will, in turn, support their grant application for infrastructure work on Washington Street.
Nelson on the other hand, is waiting for additional information. The Queen City has also made an application for a grant for work on Hall Street and some believe supporting the KBRH road would be a conflict of interest.
