In the video, staff share motivating messages that they've written inside a heart

Staff at Twin Rivers Elementary School have created an inspirational video for their students, who haven’t been able to attend in-person classes since last month due to the COVID-19 crisis.

In the video, more than 20 staff members share a motivating message that they’ve written inside a colourful heart.

“Kids, we miss you,” said one message in the video.

“You are unique, smart, talented, special (and) loved,” said another message.

Staff also wrote messages in French and Russian to help showcase their support for everyone.

When sharing the video on social media, the district used the hashtags #WorldOfHearts, #WeAreAllInThisTogether, and #SD20hearts so students and parents could join in on the conversation and support each other online during this difficult time.

Glenmerry School staff in Trail also created a similar video for their students earlier this month.

Students have been completing online curriculums from home to help them finish off the school year.
