Catalyst contributes to local food banks

Employees at Catalyst's Crofton mill are donating money to local food banks.

November was a successful month at Catalyst’s Crofton mill. The mill’s paper operations showed the strongest productivity performance this year, and the pulp and utilities operations successfully concluded an extensive 11-day maintenance shutdown. The mill is proud of its employees and recognizes all the hard work to make this mill successful. In recognition of the outstanding performance, the mill’s employees opted to share their success and help those in need. The company is pleased to provide donations to the local food banks and looks forward to carrying this momentum into 2012. Pictured are: front row from left, Bonnie, Cowichan Valley Basket Society; Caroline Davidson, Ladysmith Food Bank; Dianna Smith and Sylvia Massey, Harvest House Food Bank; and, back row from left, Kathy Gomez, Catalyst Paper; Barry Torporowski, CEP Local 1132; Paul Zarry and Alan Berry, PPWC Local 2; and Carole Ireland and Traci Waite, CMS Food Bank (Mill Bay).
