Cedar Hill golf course budgeting discussion moved to Colquitz middle

Saanich council expecting huge public turnout for golf course future plans, Tuesday meeting moved to larger venue

Budget talks with regards to alleviating the massive Cedar Hill golf course deficit will take place at Colquitz middle school on Tuesday.

The meeting was originally to be held at Saanich municipal hall, but with more than 300 people showing up to an open house Monday on the future of the restaurant and course, staff decided to move the event to a larger facility.

The meeting takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.

Colquitz middle school is located at 505 Dumeresq St., near Interurban and Burnside roads.

At Monday night’s council meeting, there will be additional discussion on the future of the golf course. Four councillors are expected to bring forward a recommendation to have staff organize a formal public input process.
