A family-oriented Winter Festival is being held on Saturday, February 25, at the Glenn Sandburg Memorial Park by the Baynes Lake Community Centre in the South Country.
The Baynes Lake Parks and Recreation Society has planned for a fun-filled day starting at 11 a.m. Events include milk jug curling, face painting, ball hockey, ice sculpting, ski plank races, snow golf, saucer chuck wagon races, snowshoeing, cross country ski races, and snow man building. The event will be held with snow or no snow!
A concession will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers and baked goodies as well as lots of hot chocolate and coffee.
Families attending are asked to bring their sleds, snowshoes, skis and hockey sticks. Children should also bring their helmets.
