Statistics Canada is looking for census enumerators in Port Renfrew and Jordan River.

Beginning this week, Statistics Canada will send census letters and packages to all Canadian households.

The census provides a statistical portrait of the country and its people.

A national census is held every five years.

In Canada, it is mandatory for all residents to participate in the census.

“Census work is challenging and changes from day to day. It is never boring,” said crew leader for Port Renfrew Carolyn Potter.

Enumerators must be Canadian citizens, 18 years or older, computer literate and willing to work flexible hours.
