The Change of Command ceremony at CFB Esquimalt in Victoria, gave the opportunity for Rear-Admiral Bill Truelove, Commander Maritime Forces Pacific to recognize the achievements and to thank Commodore Bob Auchterlonie for his service as Base Commander while welcoming the new Base Commander Luc Cassivi. Commodore Auchterlonie who took command of CFB Esquimalt in July 2012, was promoted in the morning ceremony in preparation for his upcoming appointment in the coming weeks as Commander Canadian Fleet Pacific.
