Four vehicles became involved in a chain-reaction collision which began at 11 a.m. on Feb. 10 on the Trans-Canada Highway near Second Nations Road. A westbound vehicle lost control on the wintery conditions and ended up in the ditch. While a tow truck stopped to help, another vehicle in the area slid on the road and collided with a fourth vehicle, which subsequently hit the tow truck. Minor injuries were reported to only two of the people involved.
