The Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce has released its all candidate forum video interviews in advance of an Oct. 4 meet and greet event.
The videos, which are all linked from YouTube, are available at the following locations:
• Williams Lake Chamber of Commerce website
• Tourism Discovery Centre Facebook Page
Both mayoral candidates, incumbent Walt Cobb and Surinderpal Rathor, are represented answering questions from the business community.
Questions asked in candidate videos were solicited by chamber members and were selected based on what the organization thought was relevant to the community, and by the number of questions asked on the same topic.
Different from past years, the chamber is hosting a meet and greet, instead of a traditional all candidates forum, where the public and candidates are invited to attend to mix, mingle and field questions and concerns one on one. Everyone in the community is invited.
The meet and greet takes place on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Gibraltar Room in the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
“The chamber encourages everyone to view and share this information and to get engaged by casting your vote for a mayor and council that can ensure that Williams Lake remains relevant and prosperous,” said WLDC executive director Mark Doratti.
