Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 157 calls for service from November 15th, 8 a.m. till November 21st, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, 31 people were lodged in Terrace cells – 20 of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
A person was defrauded of just over $800 in a computer scam. The person was contacted via an email and was told that access to their personal computer was required to shut down a subscription program and reimburse monies. Access to the computer was achieved and money was stolen.
Shoplifter at Safeway. Police arrested the 68-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A suicidal youth was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.
A grey Ford F250 was pulled over on Hwy 16 east of Terrace for going 148 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. The vehicle was impounded.
A curfew check was conducted and the person was in breach. Under investigation.
A man assaulted an elderly family member, punched holes in the walls of a residence, and was attempting to break into a room of a residence with a knife. Police arrested a 43-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A man breaching a condition of probation of not to attend Mills Memorial Hospital unless for a medical purpose. Police arrested the 45-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Possible impaired driver in a blue Chevrolet Cruz. The vehicle was located and pulled over on Sparks St. The 34-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Three people were sprayed with bear spray in George Little Park. Police arrested a 19-year-old man. He was on probation at the time of the incident. He is held for court.
Breach of a no contact condition. Police arrested a 51-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Domestic assault. Police arrested a man and a woman. Charges are being forwarded on both. Both were arrested later in the day for breaching no contact conditions. More charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Assault in progress. Police arrested an aggressive and intoxicated man. He kicked a police officer while being placed in a police vehicle. He was in breach of probation condition of not to consume alcohol. He was held for court. BC Ambulance transported a man to Mills Memorial Hospital via BC Ambulance suffering injuries.
A grey Ford Focus was pulled over on Bailey St. The 28-year-old driver provided samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. She was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle she driving was impounded.
A youth was assaulted by a man at a party, suffering injuries. Police arrested 21-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
