An Abbotsford man accused of driving into the back of a car stopped for a CounterAttack roadblock in December has been charged with eight offences.
Devon Kyle Krahn, 26, has been charged with four counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and four counts of causing an accident resulting in bodily harm.
The incident took place on Dec. 8 at about 10 p.m. on Riverside Street near King Road.
Police were talking to a group of four young women in a 2008 Volvo when the driver of a 1992 Toyota 4Runner plowed into the back of them at an estimated speed of 100 km/h.
Five Abbotsford Police officers on the scene had to jump out of the way of the SUV and narrowly missed being hit.
The women in the Volvo were all wearing seatbelts and were not seriously injured, police said at the time.
The driver of the SUV was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was taken into custody on the scene.
