Charges have now been laid in connection with a fatal motor-vehicle accident near Enderby just more than a year ago.
On Sept. 1, 2010, about midnight, a three-vehicle collision on Highway 97A took the life of 17-year-old Donovan Pippus of Salmon Arm, who was driving a Pontiac Sunbird.
Police allege a vehicle crossed the centre line and struck Pippus’ Sunbird.
The lengthy police investigation resulted in Crown counsel laying a number of charges against a Kelowna driver.
Jean-Paul Kowal, 39, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, impaired driving causing death and causing an accident resulting in death.
Kowal is expected to make his first court appearance on Tuesday, Sept. 27 in Salmon Arm Provincial Court.
