Canadian Home Builders’ Association South Okanagan is hosting an all-candidates forum on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m.
The public is invited to join in for the candidates forum for the upcoming City of Penticton by-election. All nominated candidates are invited to attend and will provide a brief description of how they plan to support the building and development industry in Penticton for their potential term.
A brief question and answer period will follow.
There are 10 candidates that have declared their candidacy to fill one council seat.

Residential construction is a leading industry in Penticton, providing employment and addressing housing supply, said CHBA.
“Let’s find out how our Penticton city council nominated candidates plan to support our industry.”
CHBA says that 1,553 construction jobs have been generated in Penticton and $97 million in wages.
The city’s statistics for the number and value of building permits issued over the first four months of 2021 show that the city is already on track to outperform the previous heights.
In the value of the works permitted, there is more than double in 2021 what there was in 2020 to this point of the year.
This candidates forum will follow the CHBA South Okanagan’s AGM taking place at 6 p.m.
